Ron Harbour is a Partner at Oliver Wyman overseeing Global Automotive Manufacturing, located in the Detroit office. Mr. Harbour was the owner and President of Harbour Consulting prior to its acquisition by Oliver Wyman in 2007.
Since 1983 Mr. Harbour has had broad experience in the assessment, development and implementation of quality, cost and productivity improvements at factories worldwide. Manufacturing improvement projects have included many of the world’s automakers and their suppliers, in addition to numerous factories in a variety of other industries.
Mr. Harbour co-authored and developed “The Harbour Report®” in 1989, a publication that has grown to be the pre-eminent annual assessment of automotive manufacturing performance around the globe. Through publication of this research, Mr. Harbour and his team have visited most of the world’s automotive plants, and regularly tour 40 – 50 factories every year.
Jeff Trumble is the President and CEO of Trumble Inc. and the creator of Plant Floor Intelligence®. With over 30 years of experience Jeff has earned his stripes as a manufacturing expert. He left his career at Ford Motor Company to address a problem; IT systems were great at collecting and storing data but provided no efficient way of returning what mattered back to the shop floor. A digital revolution is sweeping the globe and has given rise to the Industrial Internet of Things and a movement called Industry 4.0. Jeff’s role as thought leader and entrepreneur in its manufacturing application has led to several breakthroughs in converting digital information into profitability at the factory floor level.
Jeff is passionate about improving the quality of life for factory floor personnel and achieving world-class quality and productivity at the same time. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, has a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh College and Bachelor of Science Degree from Oakland University.
